The perfect introduction

Botanical Mixology was a great experience. I loved learning about making cocktails with what is fresh and grows in my backyard! As a newbie to cocktails, it was a great introduction. I have especially enjoyed making drinks for my friends!

The art of good drink making

I have been tincturing herbs, flowers, and berries in alcohol for quite a while. I have made cocktails, shrubs, liqueurs, and a few mixed drinks, but Botanical Mixology really presented it in a great way that helped me put it all together! I appreciated learning the Golden Ratio. The combinations and garnishes made each drink special. The course really celebrates the art of good drink making and it is so wonderful to have suggestions for mocktails!

The "lay of the land"

The Golden Ratio was a door opener for creating my own drinks with more of a sense of how to put ingredients together successfully. I took Botanical Mixology for that purpose, and to get a more full sense of the "lay of the land" for creating such beverages, and how to work with the various ingredients. The videos indeed gave me that foundation I was seeking.

Learning new ways of using herbs

Botanical Mixology has opened up a whole new universe for me — I can't drink alcohol, but the mocktails have shown me new tastes and new ways of using fresh herbs I use to hate (like mint — OMG fresh mint is so good!). I am now open to more ways of using more herbs while enjoying relaxing with a mocktail.

Relaxing with an elegant drink

It makes it a special moment in the afternoon to relax with an elegant drink and I appreciate that it was made from my garden, my herbs, and that I made it myself (with Emily's help, of course). I have always enjoyed the taste of a cocktail but was never big on alcohol. I am so much more aware of what is in season, what season I have missed, and what to look forward to. I feel like a fairy in the garden when I am concocting! Thanks, Emily!

Cocktails AND mocktails

I am so enjoying this course! Emily's straightforward teaching style makes the information easy to understand and then apply. I love that she shows a mixture of cocktails AND mocktails. I will get enjoyment from it for many years to come!

Combining herbs and fun

I wanted to have nice beautiful drinks to replace alcohol. I do like (sparkling) water also but that sometimes is so "normal." Now I have something lovely to offer. I love to combine herbs with fun.

No one can refuse a delicious beverage

I have been trying for ages to get my friends and family into herbs. Apparently it seems that no one thinks twice about trying them when they are in the form of a delicious beverage. What has thrilled me the most about this course is seeing the ways in which it is opening up my community’s eyes to the joy of herbs.
