Free Natural Flea Remedy

I wanted to post some natural flea remedies. It only makes sense that we look for natural pet remedies if we are looking for natural home remedies for ourselves. When you're dealing with flea activity in your home, it can be helpful to reach for natural options to support human and pet health at home.

I will eventually post more pet home remedies, but I felt a good natural flea remedy was a great place to start. So, let's dive into this remedy for fleas...

Natural Flea Recipe: Herbal Spray

Ingredients Required: Eucalyptus Oil & Wintergreen Oil

This is the natural way of eliminating these unwanted fleas from your home and sleeping place of your pet. It has a natural aroma that is not harmful to humans, pets, or children.

Use ¼ tsp. of Eucalyptus Oil in a 8–10 ounce spray pumper bottle. Fill with water. Put the pumper on a fine mist. Spray your house with this herbal flea spray. Spray the carpet, furniture, car, pet’s beds everywhere. Fleas hate the aroma and run for the door when you use this natural method.

Do this 3 times a week. It leaves a fine mist that dries almost instantly. Your home will have a very fresh scent. Spraying your pet is also a great idea. It doesn’t hurt them and it helps keep fleas away. Do this natural flea control recipe all year, but especially do this routine in the summer months when fleas are at there peak. Vacuuming is also important for picking up eggs.

Eucalyptus Leaves are also great for placing around the base boards of your house as a another flea home remedy. You can put them under the bed, behind my hutch, behind doors, under the couch. They have a mild scent that stays fresh for 6 months or longer. This along with the eucalyptus oil gives added protection. You can buy the leaves from a crafts store that has the flower arrangements for flower design, or if you're near a eucalyptus tree just snip off some cuttings from the branches. Use ¼ tsp of Wintergreen Oil in a 8–10 ounce spray bottle (spray pumper bottle) for another herbal flea spray. Fill with water. Put the pumper on a fine mist. Spray your house with the fine mist. Spray the carpet, furniture, etc. Basically do the same as above, but on this oil you do this recipe ONCE every 3 months. The easiest time to remember to use this natural flea killer is the first of the month. Homemade Herbal Flea Collar for Dogs

• 2 tablespoons peppermint essential oil

• 1/2 cup rosemary essential oil

• 2 tablespoons white cedar essential oil

• 1/4 cup citronella essential oil

• 2 tablespoons eucalyptus essential oil

• Order high quality essential oils

Soak a natural fibre rope in mixture and let dry for several hours. Tie around pet’s neck. DO NOT use this herbal flea collar on cats.

Deep Cleaning Fleas Out of the Carpet

When it comes to the cleaning of carpets, vacuum regularly: remembering to do areas like under beds, around skirting boards, and window sills.

Sprinkle with borax and leave for 48 hours, then vacuum. Keep pets and children away during treatment.

Rub over with tea tree essential oil to support skin irritation. Tea tree oil is one of the most popular first aid herbal remedies, and this natural ingredient can be a nice option for sensitive skin.
